About Dan's Southside Marine
This second generation family owned business was founded in 1968 by the Daniel Chesky Sr., Marine Electric of Bloomington Mn and started out selling marine electronics and marine accessories. As the company grew in 1980 we moved to 9804 James Circle in Bloomington. A small 10,000 sq ft facility, In 1986, we decided to add boats to the showroom to make our company. In 1990, Dan's Southside Marine name was added to the company to better market our lines of boats. In 2001, we relocated to our current location. In 2007, Dan Sr. retired and passed the company along to his three sons Dan Jr., Steve, and John. Dan's Southside Marine now fills a 5 Acre parcel with a 33,000 sq foot facility at 1900 West 98th St Bloomington MN. This repurposed state of the art marine show room, service, and rigging center now houses the largest accessories department in the Twin Cities.
